TEACHERS

Global Child teachers are valuable people to our business.  Global Child teachers give their time, energy and love to share their language with children throughout Massachusetts!  Our talented teachers are the main strength of the program.  All Global Child teachers are fluent in the language they teach and a majority of them are native speakers.  We have a return rate of more than 75% of the teaching staff each year.  They have excellent accents!

Our teachers have experience with young children and love working with them.  They come from places such as Argentina, Canada, China, Cuba, Ecuador, France, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Spain.

Teachers attend 2 paid workshops per year, where they are trained in the methodology and curricula.

Do you speak Mandarin Chinese, French or Spanish? Do you enjoy working with children?
Part-time teaching positions available throughout Massachusetts beginning at $25/class.

Global Child Inc. provides training, lesson plans, and supervision.  You provide your language expertise, your creativity, and your ability to teach children. Teacher-purchased supplies are reimbursed.

Global Child accepts applications year round for the 10-week fall semester that begins in late September and the 12-week spring semester that begins in early February.   All positions are part-time, before and/or after the regular school hours, and for Chinese, French or Spanish.  All positions require a semester’s commitment of 10 weeks in the fall, 12 weeks in the spring.

How much time must a teacher commit?  That depends on many factors: your availability, the number of children who sign up, and how much we think you can contribute.  Each student goes to class once a week for 50 minutes.  Some teachers teach only two classes a week while many teach 8-10 classes per week.

Step One: Submit your application online.
Step Two:
We contact you and check your references.
Step Three: You are interviewed by one of our Regional Coordinators.
Step Four: You attend an all-day paid training session, where we give you all the teacher materials and ideas you need to be an effective Global Child teacher.
