Global Child was founded in 1992, by two world language experts in the field of early language learning. In June of 2005, Maribel Powell and Diana Hibner became the owners of Global Child, Inc. and together bring over two decades of Global Child experience to the organization.
Global Child Inc. works with elementary and middle schools to offer foreign language programs. Currently Global Child is being successfully run in 26 communities throughout Massachusetts, in both public and private schools. The program emphasizes listening and speaking skills through a unique combination of movement, singing/skits, games and snacks. Classes are held in the children’s own school immediately before and/or after school. We can offer mid-day classes to accommodate kindergarten students.
Classes meet once a week for 50-60 minutes. Included in the tuition students receive a Global Child booklet and audio CD which helps jump-start a child’s language learning and provides the foundation for what can become a life-long benefit. Weekly handouts, which are related to the lesson, are distributed at each class.
By enrolling your child in the Global Child program you are preparing them for our global economy. Global Child believes children should learn about the culture as well as the language so we incorporate culture into the curriculum! Enroll your child in the Global Child program today!
